July 2011 making EarlyIQ final data structure and preparing for Summer Orientation.

In the month of July, Benjamin and I was focused on give Early IQ data a formal structure. Benjamin put efforts on the student support services structure and I worked with the Pilot student information. As we depend on other departments at Sagrado, we encounter some delays to have a full listing of the students who was admitted to Title V program. In the beginning Admissions Office reach less than 70 students, our goal is to get a sample of 100 students.
In our work schedule we plan to contact the students admitted by mail, telephone and e-mail.  Once we received our first listing of student’s data in a CSV file, we made a database listing using Microsoft Access 2010. This effort provides us the flexibility to have the listing ordered by name or student number.  So, we meet at IPEDCO to distribute the listing among the Project staff and start our efforts to contact the students for the Summer Orientation.

By the other way, Fernando, Melissa and Karina was working in the logistics for the Orientation days.  They contact and coordinate with FAASA for the food services, also contact other dependencies for tables, the place to receive the students, lodging facilities and training rooms. Finally we consider us ready to Summer Orientation in August also, the training to Faculty prepared by Education Dynamics.  Considering the holidays this month had we are ready for our next battle.
