Fundamental Pillars

Good morning everybody!!!

Yesterday I attended to the presentation of the new student profile of graduate
from public high school by IPEDCO (Instituto de Politica Educativa para el Desarrollo Comunitario). Gave their messages, the president of Sacred Heart University: Dr. Jose Jaime Rivera and the Secretary of the Department of Education of Puerto Rico: Dr. Jesus Rivera Sanchez. Then the IPEDCO Executive Director: Dr. Nyvea Silva and the USC Professor and Researcher of IPEDCO: Dr. Ruben Rosado, presented the new student profile.
The profile is a guide which lists a list of core competencies (skills, values, and current knowledge) that the country's education system should develop in their students.
IPEDCO uses an "inverted model of action" which begins with the analysis and definition of the product that aims to develop (the student) and then proposes the reconceptualization of the school, support structures and the central level. It is proposed to work in stages to ensure systematic attention to all components.
Another important aspect I found interesting was that proposed by IPEDCO Executive Director, Dr. Nyvea Silva and is based on the four fundamental pillars of UNESCO:
