Getting know about Education Dynamics early alert, monitoring and retention tools

Last week we had two presentations of Education Dynamics (ED) early alert, monitoring and retention web-based programs. On Monday Mr. Vincent Rizzi, Vice-president Enrollment and Retention Services, presented different tools for USC. Among them were First Year Retention and Engagement (FYRE), Early Alert and Intervention, Student Health and Wellness Programs. They coordinate the functions of these programs through the student portal, that in our case we can use our current portal. FYRE and EarlyIQ, draws up relevant information about our students based on portal usage. These programs can send flags to key staff and provide the infrastructure support for centrally coordinated services and intervention. Student Health and Wellness Program include several modules about collage student life in the interface inside-outside campus and the transition to collage life. In addition ED, have a parents portal to facilitate parent engagement. Mr. Rizzi told us that ED's engagement and retention philosophy is inspires on Dr. George Kuh and Dr. Arthur Chickening thoughts and principles.

ED's partnership include constant dialog with USC's staff to customized content and programs based on our needs, goals and assessment results. They provide technological, and retention and engagement strategies design assistance. ED also trains our staff and brings live assistance. Mr. Rizzi makes individual software quote for 3 years contract, up to $90,000.00 USD annually for the complete package. Then the next years are submit to a 10%-15% off discount each year.

On Tuesday we participate in Building Engaging Student Experiences to Improve Enrollment webinar by Cory Kalled, Vice-president Client Services and host by Ingrid Ramos, Director of Customer Program Education. This tool is a comprehensive strategy for find, contact, engage, enroll and follow up till graduating students using mails, mobile messages, students and parent portals, purpose net, move to action language and texts structure, etc. Again one key feature is the complete assement of the whole strategies tactics and the transformation on useful up to date information.
