2 Busy @ DEDOS

The past 2 weeks have given me the opportunity to grow as a professional and an instructional designer while working @ CEDTEC. As part of DEDOS, I have been working hard alongside my workmates preparing presentations, testing new web tools for learning, revising courses, meeting USC faculty members, learning about something new every day…been these the reason for my absence from this blog for the past 2 weeks!!

On February 25 and March 7, I was part of meetings with faculty members that are going to participate with this Title V Project. Our work began weeks before, developing the Faculty Training and Online Courses Design Guide, structuring faculty and CEDTEC’s professional development plan, realizing some investigation to understand USC’s internet connection efficiency, and preparing a Prezi presentation to explain our ambitious plans. Remember, we said our plan is to design highly innovative and interactive online courses, looking to convert students into content creator instead of content consumers.

The best thing of all this is that faculty members are accepting the challenge of retooling themselves with new technological skills to attend 21st century students learning needs. DEDOS staff is also ready for the challenge…are you ready?
