It's not knowing something, it's how you teach it...

For the past 2 months, I have been working…designing and giving workshops, creating instructional content, giving advice to faculty members and administrative personnel, making a little bit of free research about mobile and web 2.0 technology, developing assessment tools, reviewing online courses...that’s how you spent 2 months out of this blog fellas! So let’s begin, try to stay with me for the whole ride…

Well, September and October 2012 were fun, primarily because I got the opportunity to design and create the Articulate Studio 09 workshops to be given to faculty members and administrative personnel. The idea was to teach them how to use Articulate’s suit for creating interactive content, quizzes and incorporating narration and learning games to PowerPoint presentation, among others. As part of the process, I designed and created an instructional workbook about Articulate’s programs (Presenter, Engage and Quizmaker). This workbook was built in order to give faculty members some guidelines and to give them the exercises to be done during the workshops.

Also, I designed and taught the workshops structure and content to fellow instructional designers so they can help me attend the demand form faculty members. This was a great experience for me, since I took charge of everything about the Articulate workshops…teaching it to faculty members, preparing content, designing learning activities, checking my colleagues didn’t have any doubts about how the software works…really, it was one of the most satisfactory experiences I have had as a professional because faculty members were so excited with the possibilities of creating instructional content for their online courses with this authoring system. Some pics of the workshops...
