Trends! That’s what all is about in most aspects in life…lifestyles, clothing, cars, sports, women’s hairstyles…even education!! That’s the main reason DEDOS made a forum about “21^st Century Education Tendencies”, seeking to understand our students learning tendencies through high school years and why it’s sometimes difficult for them to adapt to college life…and instructional technology. Today’s students dominate a lot technological devices and software, obviously to enhance their personal benefits…and that’s our job here @ DEDOS, to find ways to use that technological knowledge to our advantage and guide them to use it to improve their overall knowledge and skills. This isn’t about finding the latest technology and incorporate it in every online course…it is about finding the right one, the one that fulfill the students learning needs. Oh, trends…yesterday it was about laptops…today it’s about mobile devices and mobile applications…applications for everything in life! Social networking, cooking, traveling, love…learning!!

M-learning is the latest trend…but had we learned this week, we can’t judge everything by the latest trends…we must learned the reasons for our students learning deficiencies, to understand they underachieve so much before applying any instructional strategy. Now that we everything in place, DEDOS is technologically ready to attend USC learning needs...it’s now up to design the best strategies to enhance their learning process.
