We are very happy to announce that on March, 31st, 2011 the USC aquire EDDY's retention suit such as follow:
- First Year Retention and Engagement(FYRe)- It is the bridge program that will help freshmore students in the transition, integration, and engagement with the USC's college experience.
- Health and Wellness- Consists on a series of articles and interactive modules that provides the Institution and students with tools for: 1) the promotion of healthy lifestyles based on integral perspective which include civil responsible behavior and 2) for the prevention of at risk conducts.
- Early Alert and Intervention System (EarlyIQ)- It is a student monitoring web-based system that allow the Institution for: 1) the identification of dropout and other at risk behavior, 2) raised flags, and communicate it to faculty, student services and support staff on campus, 3) as well as to the students. Those flags can be feed and raised by USC Staff involved with students as well as semi-automatic from our student information management system (Poise), and from our course management system (Moodle). Another source of information about at risk behavior that feeds EarlyIQ is the student response to the Health and Wellness interactive modules.
- in depth demo-presentation about each web-based software (tool) with Project's, PAE's, USC's decision making staff from closed related offices and some participant faculty (pilot)
- small group meetings for set up the design process between EDDY, Project's and a few USC's staff from CRI and Oficina de Planificación y Gestión de Matrícula.
Agreements on the set up meetings sessions:
- Point of contact between EDDY and USC-Title V Project will be Molly Baldwin for EDDY and for USC- Dr. Gloria López and Luis Rojas.
- The place for official communication between USC and EDDY will be https://goalquest.basecamphq.com . Dr. Gloria López, Dr. Pedro Fraile, Luis Rojas and Benjamin will have access. All EDDY staff will have access.
- Next steps:
- By April 4 Molly will send FYRe complete library (Global content). For the next week (April 11-15) will send access to H&W global content library.
- By week of April 11-15 Title V will send EDDY selected material from FYRe Global content library.
- EDDY will send Gloria FYRe portal templates, images and fonts to share it. ASP USC will send EDDY USC logo, design guide lines, colors, images.
- Title V Project: Have to prepare and provide a student pilot test participant list segmentated by: assigned councellor (Bussiness Administration, Communication, athletes and talent students), faculty or sections (for the designed courses blocks). PAE will prepare a list of their participant students segmented by counselor. Title V staff will send it to EDDY.
- By April 8 EDDY will submit a list about some IT requirements from Sagrado to operate/integrate their software as required by Mrs. Cintrón, Esq.
- Gloria will send EDDY: the curricular map for the summer experience, the rubric for competencies on FEP seminar and Grant Proposal (with objectives).
- Gloria will send EDDY the proposal because they need it to identify content and strategies.
- For week April 11-15 Katie will send different action plans notes templates already design to Title V staff for review and to have an idea to design or process.
- Katie will send a time line for the develop process of EarlyIQ.
- Title V will send a list of students segmented by academic, handicapped, athletes and/or PAE counselor. There will be updating to data annually.
- For the up comming weeks Title V have to decide what student information privileges on EarlyIQ we will bring to:
- counselors
- professors
- psychologist
- financial aid
- PAE staff
- and other student services staff
- For EarlyIQ we can schedule to start to work between EDDY and Title V on :
- the data design- for 2 more weeks ( April 25-29)
- the student information privileges- for 4 more weeks (May 9-13)
