In March I worked and submitted several important Budget fund Transfers, and Purchase Requisitions, worked on a draft for a second letter that was sent to the Title V Program Officer, participated in a Prezzi workshop, and also in several meetings that were held with USC stakeholders and also with Education Dynamics staff by conference calls.
The second letter that was sent by the Project Director by email to the Project’s Program Officer explained the reasons for the availability of certain amount of funds in the Salary, Fringe Benefits and Equipment Budget Categories, and requested authorization for the use of some of the available funds for costs related to the participation of some of the Project’s personnel, and Faculty in various Professional Development activities that will be held out of Puerto Rico in the Summer.
Purchase Requisitions were submitted for the Project Director’s trip to the Title V Project Directors’ Meeting in Washington, DC in April; for contract with Education Dynamics software and services for the FYRe, Student Wellness, and EarlyIQ Programs; Cirino’s Students’ Placement Tests; CEDTEC computers, Mac X Server Snow Leopard; Project Director’s laptop computer; and Desktop computers for student services, among other requisitions.
There was communication with the Architect in charge of the renovation of the Student Services facilities in order to have all of the renovation work done before August 2011.
Follow up of Budget funds Transfers, purchase requisitions, and Education Dynamics contract processes by phone calls, emails and visits to the Budget, Finance, and Administration Offices. Also, Budget expenditure analysis for the use of available funds in a timely manner.
