Another interesting meeting and goes…

Early today we had a meeting with: Ms. Gloria Lopez Colon, Director of Title V Project, Mr. Benjamin Ruiz-Counselor and myself.
The objective of the meeting was that Mr. Ruiz report about two software companies that help institutions to find, enroll and retain students and help students to achieve their potential. The companies are: Starfish Retention Solutions, Inc. and Education Dynamics. We navigate both portals in order to know them briefly.
We discuss about some issues: the different services that the software offers; privacy of the information that students will provide; who would access the information; a portal for parents; contents that the portal will offer; support.
Then we discuss about other tools and surveys about learning styles (CHAEA) and the “Sistema Cirino de planificacion de carreras” (SCPC).
Ms Lopez informed us that three new employees are joining the staff on February 1st: the Financial Counselor, the Life Coach and Tech Programmer.
Finally some e-mails that have to be sent to Ms. Sonia Badillo: informing her about the Project and to Ms. Elsa Rivera, from Admissions in order to ask her some data.
During this afternoon Ms. Lopez and Ms Peroña will meet with Mr. Vicente Toro asking him some advice about the administration of the first student survey. Later there’s another meeting with the staff of “Comite Timon”.
So, we keep working, producing and learning with enthusiasm!
